ห้างสรรพสินค้าเซ็นทรัล ถือเป็นห้างสรรพสินค้าอันดับหนึ่งของประเทศไทย เมื่อพิจารณาจากยอดการจำหน่าย และความนิยมของผู้บริโภค ความโดดเด่นของห้างสรรพสินค้าเซ็นทรัล ได้คัดสรรสินค้าที่มีคุณภาพและมีความหลากหลาย การจัดวางสินค้า การตกแต่งพื้นที่ภายในห้างสรรพสินค้า ซึ่งช่วยส่งเสริมบรรยากาศการจับจ่าย ตลอดจนการให้บริการของพนักงาน ปัจจุบันห้างสรรพสินค้าเซ็นทรัลมี 9 สาขา (รวมห้างสรรพสินค้าเซน) ตั้งอยู่ในกรุงเทพฯ อีก 4 สาขาในต่างจังหวัด ที่เชียงใหม่ ภูเก็ต หาดใหญ่ พัทยา พร้อมกันนี้ จะเปิดสาขาใหม่อีก 2 สาขา คือ ที่ เซ็นทรัลเฟสติวัล หาดใหญ่ กับ เซ็นทรัลเฟสติวัล เชียงใหม่ ในปลายปี 2556 รวมทั้งสิ้น 15 สาขาในประเทศไทย นอกจากนี้ยังมีสาขาในประเทศจีน อีก 3 สาขา คือ ห้างสรรพสินค้าเซ็นทรัล เมืองหังโจว (ซ่างไท่) เปิดเมื่อวันที่ 1 พฤษภาคม 2553, ห้างสรรพสินค้าเซ็นทรัล เมืองเสิ่นหยาง เปิดเมื่อวันที่ 24 กันยายน 2554, และ ห้างสรรพสินค้าเซ็นทรัล เมืองเฉิงตู (ว่านเซี่ยงเฉิง) เปิดเมื่อวันที่ 29 กันยายน 2555

หน้าที่ความรับผิดชอบ
-Implement directions to monitor loss prevention to prevent loss of products or reduce loss as much as possible
-Monitor areas including store, car park, and external building to ensure safety and prevent loss of products and property of organization and customers
-Develop loss prevention and safety system, as well as manual to follow the standards and ensure effective operations for emergency cases
-Plan for manpower aligning with time and areas, as well as evaluation appropriately to ensure effective loss prevention
-Plan and control investigation, including taking legal action to follow the laws
-Monitor analysis of loss prevention and statistic of arrested to plan for loss prevention directions and strategies, and reduce loss as planned
-Training and examining loss prevention staffs and firemen personally to prepare for emergency cases following the standards
-Control operating cost and make report for cost of tools and equipment used in loss prevention and fire prevention to ensure cost-effectiveness
-Take care and advise loss prevention staffs to ensure effective performance and promotion preparation
