Job Title : Bar Supervisor
Reporting to : Assistant General Manager, Departmental Manager, GM
Liaises with : Cost Controller, Finance team, Senior kitchen team
To ensure the smooth daily running of the bar, including guest satisfaction with drinks products and the team adherence to service standards. To take ownership of ordering to par levels, daily stock line checks, completing purchase trackers, and liaising with the financial team about invoice issues. To ensure that any specials are fully costed and approved by the GM/AGM, then correctly trained to the staff. To take part in training to the rest of the team, on beverage products. To adhere to the companies’ strict food safety and hygiene standards.
Duties & Responsibilities
PEOPLE: Develop and train newer members of staff by passing on knowledge, coaching and mentoring them, allowing them to serve guests to the best of their ability, both bar team and knowledge for the floor team. Maintain a favorable working relationship with other employees and promote a co-operative working environment. Work with the management team and the HR Coordinator to ensure that staff lateness and performance is managed. Devise weekly rota’s to a set pattern and send to the DM/AGM for approval.
FINANCIALS: Ensure stock is ordered to par levels and there are no product shortages. To take part in and check daily line counts. To ensure wastage, transfers and spoilage is correctly recorded. To complete the beverage purchase tracker and weekly report to the GM/AGM. To take part in monthly stock inventories.
GUEST EXPERIENCE: To ensure that all beverages are served to the guest to premium standard or restaurant recipe specification. To seek out guest feedback on beverage products, and suggest special beverage to enhance guest experience.
SALES & MARKETING: Drive the restaurant sales by coaching the staff to increase spend per head, through daily incentives and specials. Have an awareness of who our target market is, what interests them. Have an awareness of the beverage products on the market and suggest promotions based upon market trends.

RESPONSIBILITIES: To be an ambassador for Jamie’s Italian, representing the company at all times.
• Daily opening, handover and closing responsibilities.
• Ordering and communication with beverage suppliers.
• Assisting the management team with training new staff, inductions and acting as a mentor to the team.
