Job Description

  • The primary role of a Sales engineer is to combine technical expertise with sales skills to present and sell complex products or services to customer. They act as a bridge between the general sales team and the engineering or technical department. Key duties and responsibilities include Product/Service Presentation: Detailed and clear presentation of the technical information of the company s products or services to clients. Visit to the customer 8-10 Customer per week. Consultation and Problem Solving: Providing advice and helping customers solve technical problems related to the products, including customizing solutions to meet the client s specific needs. Customer Needs Analysis: Understanding the business and technical requirements of customer to recommend the most suitable products. Documentation and Quotations: Preparing technical data, Price quotes and other documentation related to the Sales process. Building and Maintaining Customers Relationships. Managing existing customers and finding new ones, as well as coordinating with other departments to ensure continuous excellent support. Internal Coordination: Working closely with engineering teams, production, and other relevant departments to ensure that the products offered can be delivered and installed as agreed. Market Analysis Monitoring market trends and competitor activities to plan effective sales strategies. In summary a Sales Engineering is not just a typical sales person, but a technical expert who uses in-depth knowledge to build credibility and close sales in a market with complex products.

Customer Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with clients. Act as a liaison between customers and internal teams (e.g., engineering, account managers). Provide post-sales support and training. Market & Product Knowledge: Stay updated on industry trends, new products, and competitors. Provide feedback to product development teams.
