Job Description :
Loss Prevention Officer (LP) has the primary responsibility of protecting assets, preventing theft, internal fraud, and ensuring the safety of the department store or company by monitoring CCTV cameras, patrolling areas, overseeing high-value merchandise, inspecting the performance of employees/security personnel, and preparing incident reports to minimize losses.
Key Responsibilities of LP:
1. Prevention and Suppression: Monitor and apprehend shoplifters posing as customers and prevent internal fraud.
2. Safety Oversight: Inspect properties and facilities to ensure they are secure from theft or emergencies.
3. Merchandise Inspection: Count and inspect high-risk items, high-value merchandise, or damaged goods.
4. Security Personnel Management: Monitor and control the operations of security staff to ensure compliance with regulations.
5. Reporting and Coordination: Prepare daily/monthly operational reports and coordinate with police or external agencies.
