Job Description

  • I have rotated through various fields and performed work under laboratory standards as follows:
  • Microbiology:
  • - Conducted staining and examination of specimens using Gram Stain and AFB Stain methods to assist in preliminary diagnosis.
  • - Performed organism identification and antibiotic susceptibility testing (AST) according to Laboratory Protocol standards.
  • Clinical Chemistry & Immunology:
  • - Learned the operational systems of high-performance analytical instruments and quality control within the department.
  • Hematology & Clinical Microscopy:
  • - Analyzed specimens (CBC, UA, Stool exam) and managed automated analyzers.
  • Blood Bank:
  • - Worked in the blood bank laboratory and participated in mobile blood donation units.
  • - Responsible for blood collection from donors and preparation of blood components.
  • Phlebotomy & OPD:
  • - Performed blood draws for outpatients in the OPD blood draw room, considering patient safety and accuracy of specimens.
  • In all areas, I received training in result validation by assessing the reasonableness according to clinical correlation principles before reporting results.
  • Automated analyzers previously used: VITEK MS, VITEK2, Cobas Pro, Sysmex XN-9000, Sysmex CS-2500, Sebia Capillary 3 Tera.
