Job Summary

Lead Halal system compliance across ASEAN for a global food exporter. Drive certifications, audits, training, and ensure regulatory alignment.

???? Key Responsibilities

- Plan and execute internal audits and certification readiness across multi-country Halal standards

- Coordinate with certification bodies and regulatory agencies (e.g., CICOT, JAKIM, BPJPH)

- Deliver internal training sessions and awareness programs for Halal best practices

- Analyze compliance gaps (GAP analysis) and propose corrective actions (CAR/PAR)

- Prepare and lead management review meetings focused on Halal and quality performance (OKRs)

- Monitor documentation, supplier information, and production data in line with certification needs

- Work closely with QS teams to align Halal practices with GHPs and broader food safety systems

- Collaborate with sales teams to support Halal documentation for clients and export compliance

???? Qualifications

- Bachelor's degree in Food Science, Microbiology, Biotechnology, or a related field

- At least 3–5 years of experience in Halal compliance, food safety systems, or regulatory quality control

- Strong understanding of Halal standards and practices under CICOT (Thailand), JAKIM (Malaysia), and BPJPH (Indonesia)

- Familiarity with international food safety standards (e.g., ISO9001, ISO14001, FSSC22000, GHP, HACCP)

- Experience in managing audits, documentation, and cross-functional quality systems

- Good command of English (reading/writing) and proficient in MS Office tools

- Candidates with practical experience in Halal/QS within food export businesses will be prioritized

This role requires strong empathy and cultural understanding of Islamic principles to support Halal certification processes and collaborate effectively with internal and external Muslim stakeholders under international Halal standards (e.g., CICOT, BPJPH, JAKIM).
